Mold Remediation, Removal & Cleanup

Mold Cleanup and Remediation

  • Victim Assistance

After you have reported your loss information to one of our restoration specialists, your designated C&B Project Manager will contact you to schedule an initial inspection within 60 minutes. It is not necessary to speak with your insurance company before our initial inspection. After the initial inspection, if a claim is necessary, then your Project Manager will help you call and file a claim with your insurance company.

  • Environmental Hygienist Pre-Inspection

If the affected area is greater than 10 square feet, according to IICRC Industry guidelines, C&B is required to have you schedule an inspection by a Certified Environmental Hygienist. The Hygienist will inspect and then write up a report and protocol for C&B to follow in order to correctly mold remediate your property. This is a cost between the Homeowner and the Hygienist, not C&B and the Hygienist.

  • Estimate & Contract

WITH coverage your designated Project Manager will write an estimate directly from the details written in the scope of work by the Environmental Hygienist and send the estimate to your insurance company. A contract will then be offered to the customer based off of the proposed estimate. The contract will go over payment terms and draws throughout the mold remediation process. WITHOUT coverage your designated Project Manager will write an estimate directly from the details written in the scope of work by the Environmental Hygienist. A contract will then be offered to the customer based off of the estimate. The contract will go over payment terms and draws throughout the mold remediation process.

  • Remediation & Air Purification

After a contract is signed and abiding directly by the Hygienist report, the remediation process by our certified C&B team will begin. Mold remediation is a very detailed process and involves intensive scrubbing/cleaning, demolition, and air purification all while following protocol and wearing the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Through years of experience and state of the art equipment, C&B has the ability to remediate your property back to a safe and healthy standard of living.

  • Wrap Up

A final walk through with the designated Crew Chief or Project Manager to your job will take place on the day of equipment pick up to address any concerns and give us feedback on how we can continue to improve our workmanship. Post-Inspection by the Hygienist: C&B recommends the Homeowner obtain a post inspection done by an Environmental Hygienist within 48 hours of the mold remediation being completed. C&B does not offer any warranty work if a post inspection is done outside of 48 hours from the time we have completed our scope of work per the Hygienist protocol. The reason being, natural mold spores are everywhere around us and if a post inspection is not done in a timely manner then the post inspection readings will be skewed. This is a cost between the Homeowner and the Hygienist, not C&B and the Hygienist. At any point throughout the mold remediation process you can ask your Project Manager for our Renovations Department contact information.

Mold often develops in damp areas such as basements, bathrooms, crawl spaces, and around water-damaged materials.

Mold can begin developing within 24–48 hours after moisture exposure. Even small leaks or hidden moisture behind walls can create the ideal conditions for mold growth if the area is not dried properly.
